Welcome to Surka's Circus! ~ By Surka Noelle, Surka's Circus is an entertainment company, inspired by her travels as a touring performer.  Surka Noelle currently resides in Los Angeles, California, and travels the world to share her passion for music and performance art.  She has an extensive background in stage performance and the world of music, with a degree in Vocal Performance and Theatre from the UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance.   A Jill-of-All-Trades, Surka also specializes in Burlesque, Hoop Dance, Fire Dance and Stilt-walking.  Hoop Dancing and songwriting since 2008, you might have seen Surka share the stage with such great acts as the String Cheese Incident, Shpongle, Keller Williams, EOTO, Railroad Earth, Elephant Revival, Moondrop Circus and MarchFourth Marching Band. She has taught at festivals all over the country including Electric Forest and Wakarusa as well as local community efforts at after school programs and women’s shelters. Over the last 10 years, multiple stages and dance studios all over the world, have offered Surka the platform to perform, as well as teach classes, private lessons, and group retreats. Apparent in her expressive performance and teaching style, Surka’s mission is to help others realize their infinite potential through the freeing experience of mind, body and soul connection. She revels in the time spent between performer and audience, teacher and student, as we are all on a never-ending journey of knowledge.

The material in Surka’s curriculum is freshly cultivated from her studies at the Conservatory in music, ballet and modern dance, as well as kundalini yoga. Accredited studios and training include The Lotus Seed Non-Profit Movement Studio (PDX) where she received a +500 ytt certification under the Yoga Alliance, Luna Breeze Performance Art, Revolva, Shakti Sunfire, Caterina Suttin, Brecken Rivera, Kazum Acrobalance troupe, Hoopcamp, Electric Forest Hoop Troupe, In Motion Dance Theater (MO), The Bhaktishop (OR), Yoga Tree (CA), The Yoga Nest (CA), Yogaworks (CA), Fire Groove, Bijoulette, Furlesque, The Toledo Show, The House of Red Velvet, Unifier Productions, The Dominion.  Other sources include countless hours of book and kinetic research, as well as performance experience (approx. +200/year).
